Lucky Girl

I'm one of the lucky ones who has a BF who LOVES giving gifts and sending flowers. Last Friday, I got a delivery of the very best kind....the random thoughtful act. I got flowers at work! He's awesome! I got so caught up in the moment of feeling special and loved and explaining to my coworkers that, no, he's not in the "dog house", he's just the best BF ever, that I never would have thought my gift puny or insignificant. When he laid eyes on what he had sent me on Friday, I assume he jumped on the phone with the company (they shall remain nameless) who sent them to me and I got another one today!!! They're not much better looking (sorry, JM), but if they keep screwing up, maybe I'll get flowers every day for a long time.....here's hoping! Just kidding, but in all seriousness, I truly am grateful to be loved so well.
For your reference, pictures : First, what the arrangement should look like, second, what today's delivery looks like (Friday's was pretty similar) and third (and fourth), the special one who loves ME...man, am I lucky or what?!

I got nothin'...

But, I was just going through the folders of pictures I have on my computer and I like to see pictures when I blog stalk, so I've pulled a few random pics from the archives. Now doesn't that sound like fun???

Go Cowboys!

My friend, Nick was kind enough to invite me (for a second time) to the Dallas Cowboys Christmas Party at Texas Stadium....the last event ever to be held at the old stadium.

Here's a brief rundown of the evening's events :

  • Last minute outfit that actually didn't turn out too bad!

  • Tx Stadium lost my PETA-friendly faux fox fur bolero (I got it at Target...so what! I love it!)

  • Conversations with Jerry Jones, his sons, and a handful of players

  • Ran into the roommate I had my freshman year at TTU - Chitwood!!

  • Open bar and any kind of food imaginable...from sushi to steak!

  • Picture taken on the STAR!!

  • Tour of the lockerroom...complete with players' names on the lockers!
So, Texas Stadium found my jacket. Actually, the lady who made it home with my jacket and, in her stupor hung it up in her closet and 2 weeks later realized that what she had was fake and too small, now wants it back......immediately. Bummer...so much for my real fox fur upgrade!

I better be invited next year when it's at "Jerry-Land"!!

Oh, and I'll be lobbying hard for some Superbowl tickets :)

Pics to come soon.....
